Step Into Swim

The Guild is proud to use our global reputation to support worthy charitable causes, notably water programmes that will benefit people, young and old, across the world. This includes the Step Into Swim campaign, run by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA).

Step Into Swim is dedicated to bringing the joy of swimming and aquatics to people of all ages and all backgrounds, including on an international level. This helps people, who may not have had the opportunity to learn how to swim, to develop this life-saving skill, and in turn, live healthier lives.

Starting as a 10-year initiative in 2012, the campaign aims to teach and encourage 1 million people to start swimming by the end of the initiative. As well as getting people moving, it also opens the door wide open for people to access a range of other fun aquatic sports and activities.

The Guild is happy to support this programme to shine a light on the joy and essentiality of swimming. Donations to this campaign have helped run programs and events across the world, including the USA, Canada, Australia, and India. This has made a difference to the health and wellbeing of children and adults across multiple continents, not to mention helping to strengthen the aquatics industry long into the future.
